The Dog that Started it All
Alyson Gurney, a Washington, D.C., native, adopted a six-week-old puppy from a Baltimore rescue center in 2014. Found along the side of a road in a snowdrift, the aptly-named Drift sparked the inspiration for Gurney's business: Little Felted Friends, which combines her graphic design degree with artistry in needle felting. Gurney has created felt miniatures of cherished pets for clients like Kelly Clarkson, Paris Hilton, and Michael Strahan. Alyson and Drift and her business have been featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show, BuzzFeed, The Daily Mail, Insider, and more.
